HOW TO remove partition shortcuts from desktop



If you don't like having lots of shortcuts on your desktop you can easily delete them, but partition shortcuts can't be simply deleted. Here's what you need to do to remove them. Press Alt+F2and type:

gconf-editor
Next navigate to apps->nautilus->desktop and uncheck the volume visible:



You can reach your partitions by clicking on Places->Home Folder or pressing Alt+F2 and typing:

nautilus

They will be at the left side of the window.
